Trails open May 31st as scheduled. We have 2 trails that will need to remain closed for a bit longer to dry-up and avoid permanent irreparable damage. 1. Boscell’s trail (the trail between Cameron Road & Nelson Road) must remain closed, detour in place. The trail into Ben’s Pioneer in Winchester will need to remain closed, so parking at the Country Kitchen will not be available at this time (alternate parking available at the Township of North Dundas parking lot 636 St. Lawrence Street https://goo.gl/maps/xuicvoCqdi8tKiRH7). Please use caution out on the trails and respect the temporary closures of the two sections.
The spring thaw is upon us, and effective immediately ALL NATION VALLEY ATV CLUB TRAILS ARE CLOSED until further notice.
Please respect the law, our land owners and our volunteers by staying off closed trails. Damage caused during the spring thaw is often not repairable and can lead to loss of trails. Anyone caught riding closed trails will be charged with trespassing.
Trails are expected to open again mid-May, but ultimately the weather will be the determining factor. With an early spring we’re hoping we can open the trails early as well. Please check back for updates.
Nation Valley ATV Club’s trails will be closed as usual for the 2 weeks of deer season. Trails are closed from November 6th – November 19th. NVATVC’s trails span many private landowner’s properties who graciously allow us to use their property for most of the year, so please respect their time using their own property for the 2 weeks of deer season by remaining off of the trails.
Volunteers have been out several times in the last week, and will continue to be out every day until the Ride for Dad rally this Saturday.
Trails are looking great and will hopefully continue to get better and better as our volunteers work tirelessly throughout the week.
