All NVATVC trails are closed from Nov 2nd-15th to recognize the 2020 hunting season.
Last night volunteers turned some “previously enjoyed” construction material into 180 pieces of premium decking for bridges. Bridge repair projects are scheduled for this Sunday, in preperation for the 7th Annual Fall Rally on October 4th.
Multiple riders on the weekend reported very wet trail conditions. Trails are all passable, but expect spring water levels and mud.
Volunteers took advantage of the nice weather and built a short bridge over a small drainage ditch today. This is membership dollars hard at work. Thanks to Kris, Kyle, Scott and Bruce for improving our trails today! View more photos of this event
Wardens on the trails today reported that trails are muddy with standing water from the recent rain, but easily passable.
Wardens discovered that the approach to the 1000′ boardwalk had become badly rutted and stopped to make repairs. ATVs should be able to get up on the boardwalk much easier now. They also cut several trees that had fallen across the trails during recent thunderstorms. See more photos here.
Tomorrow volunteers will meet with contractors to generate quotes that will be used for the NTC grant. If accepted, this grant money will go a long way in repairing damage to ATV trails in Osgood that have been damaged by trucks trespassing on the trails.
